Relational database systems such as ORACLE enable centralized data storage on a server. Thus, data is available to the whole enterprise and centrally managed by one or few database administrators. Geodata also can be swiftly integrated into such an enterprise database system using the Geotabase engine ArcSDE by ESRI.
